Our Story
My wife, Abby, and I started The Cake Pop Kitchen in May of 2022 after taking a leap of faith and selling our cake pops at a small trade show here in Gillette. To our surprise and excitement, we sold over 350 pops in just three hours! We began with a handful of traditional flavors I had brought to work potlucks over the years, and with Abby designing our logo, we set out to build something special together.
Within a month, I made the life-changing decision to leave my job at the Sheriff’s Office and pursue our dream full-time.
In just a couple of years, The Cake Pop Kitchen has grown into a well-known name in our community. We’re now proudly featured in multiple businesses throughout Gillette and surrounding towns, and we continue to expand. In May of 2023, we moved into a commercial kitchen to help us reach even more customers.
Our dream is to build a brand based on cake pops—something rarely done in a world where cake pops are typically an afterthought or simply tied to a coffee shop’s menu. We want to change that. Our goal is to create a brand recognized for making the best cake pops in the industry.
Flavor is everything to us. We use only high-quality ingredients, including rich Ghirardelli chocolate, to craft pops that are bold, dynamic, and unforgettable
In May of 2024, we took another huge step by signing the lease for our very own storefront—a milestone we’re incredibly proud of.
The Cake Pop Kitchen is more than a business; it’s our family’s dream, built one cake pop at a time, and we’re grateful for everyone who’s helped us grow along the way.
